“Nothing is more imminent than the impossible . . . what we must always foresee is the unforeseen.”
Victor Hugo
The break through, where the seemingly impossible becomes possible. The point of critical mass.
In sociodynamics critical mass is a sufficient number of adopters of an innovation in a social system so that the rate of adoption becomes self-sustaining and creates further growth. The term is borrowed from nuclear physics and in that field it refers to the amount of a substance needed to sustain a chain reaction.
It can also be the minimum size or amount of resources required to start or maintain a venture. Any movement or venture has to reach critical mass to carry on and succeed. It is a point in which things can change rapidly, growth explodes, you break through some kind of barrier. It is the point at which a popstar gets famous, the moment a business “suddenly’ attracts more customers, it is the moment of break through scientists experience after months of research, or the moment a sportsman breaks a world record.
You can be at critical mass when you feel you are at the point of no return and you say to yourself : “It’s now or never, I decide to go the extra mile, confident to succeed in whatever endeavor I find myself in.” You are at the point where you drop all worries and fear and you decide to be patient and to have faith ! You know it can take some time to build up enough momentum to shift your reality ! Your seedlings must be firmly rooted before they can sprout !
“Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked, while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind.”
Bruce Lee
Change can come at a major turning point, one where you let go of all resistance, one where you are willing to give up the struggle and loosen up ! You drop that stiff attitude and you decide to go with the wind and bend as a bamboo tree. In whatever weather condition the bamboo finds itself in, it won’t break and it will rise up again when things get better. Always heading up high !
Change can come at a time when you feel so confident about yourself that everything happens in a rush or in a flow, smoothly and effortlessly !
When you change your feelings, you change your destiny.

When he might have captured the victor’s cup,
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.” Full poem here : Don’t quit
